   --< Comparison between MJPEG & MPEG4 >--
~( MJPEG is better than MPEG4 for Mobile DVR )~

 Section

 MJPEG

 MPEG-4

 Strong Points

 - Maintains constant quality
    regardless of bandwidth
 - Image quality maintained regardless
    of complexity of image
 - Excellent Compatibility: Used as     standard compression for all PC's
 - Easy to manage, use and store
 - Low-cost encoding/decoding used
 - Quick search and easy to handle
    images
 - Separate image per frame
 - Outstanding Recovery: Fast recovery
    for packet losses
 - Short fetching standby time

 - Maintains high frame rate
    even in high bandwidths
 - High Compression: When requested
    in low bandwidth
 - Small Storage Space
 - Constant bit rate (CBR)
    - Used when making network designs
       and bandwidth equipment simple
 - Variable bit rate(VBR)
    - Used when there are no restrictions
       in bandwidth
    - Ensures high image quality
       according to increasing bit rate

 Weak Points

 - Increased bandwidth through higher
    frame rate
 - Needs large storage space
 - Keeps constant bandwidth even when
    there is no motion

 - Complex Video Compression
 - Long video fetching standby time.
 - Requires PC specs with high
    performance monitoring
 - Heavy loss when there is packet
    losses.
 - Additional license costs for encoding
    and decoding
 - Uses many profiles and levels making
it difficult to procure a standard.

~# The Reasons why MJPEG than MPEG4 #~

            1) UK Security Newspaper also reported last year that MJPEG is better
                     than MPEG4 for Mobile DVR's.
                2) MPEG4 : This compression carries i-Frame (Background) &
p-Frame (Moving) separately, therefore in case any one Frame
among i-Frame & p-Frame is broken out due to impact, etc.,
then the video recovery is not possible owing to impossibility
                                  of both Frame assembly.
                3) MJPEG : Since this compression carries the Images (Pictures)
one image by one image, therefore even if any image is
broken out the general video recovery is possible.
                4) For the static images MPEG4 is ok for office, general security view, etc.
however for the ever moving Mobile Vehicle purposes MJPEG is
                     the most suitable applicable compression.
        ~#
Mobile H.264 Compression chip is under development by Korean industries                and it will be available very soon, to be applied to our Mobile DVR then.
        ~# For E-Map, we supply
Yahoo Map for our E-Map solution.
        ~#
Mobile Communication : WiFi, Wibro, HSDPA, etc. will be available
                                                  in the year of 2009.
